Water leaks are scary to imagine for any homeowner.  Look for these signs of water leaks, it will save you money, stress and time is sensitive.

  1.  DO you smell mold or a musty odor?  Are you seeing discoloration in your walls, ceilings, or bathroom fixtures,  if so you may have a leak.  Mold thrives in Florida with the humid and damp environment, even a small leak can create the perfect conditions for mold to grow. If you have mold in your home because of a water leak, we can help you.
  2. DO you have a high water bill?  If your water billed has been increasing slowly or it all of a sudden was a high bill, you may have a leak.
  3. IS your foundation cracked?  If you see cracks or uneven settling on your home, don’t wait to fix it before it’s too late. Cracks in your foundation or walls are serious plumbing issues, including leaks. Water leaking from your plumbing system can erode the soil around your foundation over time, sometimes undetected, which can lead to expensive structural damage.
  4. DO you have water stains on your ceilings any where in your home, or on any walls?  Water stains are the first sign of potential leaks. Look for yellow or brown discoloration on your walls or ceilings, this is how you can spot that water is seeping through. Water stains can be a sign of a leaking roof or plumbing issues. Do not wait or ignore these stains, they will lead to further damages, and more expensive repairs in the future.
  5. DO you have low water pressure?  Are your faucets, toilets or showerheads not delivering water as forcefully as they used to? Even low water pressure can be another sign of a leak.  The water can be dripping through cracks in your pipes, which leads to not enough pressure left for the water to properly flow and damage your home.
